Maple Mountain High School lived up to its “attitude of excellence,” when their Robotics team, Absolute Zero, brought home the championship at the Utah Regional, FIRST Robotics Competition March 20. Thirty-three teams from seven states competed, as Utah sponsored its first regional robotics competition. The Golden Eagles taking home the prize is big for Utah and our first-year school.
Maple Mountain music students have prepared for the better part of the school year for their individual and small ensemble performances at the Region 8 Solo and Ensemble Festival, sponsored by the Utah High School Activities Association. For the most part, students worked independently on this project, anywhere from selecting their repertoire, to practicing in and outside of class time in order to deliver superior performances.
On Thursday, March 25, Maple Mountain hosted a wide variety of guest speakers, presenters, and demonstrators in an effort to provide students an opportunity to explore various careers.
