Golden Eagles Baseball Fights to the End

Hard work pays off for Maple Mountain’s Baseball team as they play their first opening game.   Baseball season started with the Sherm Bennet Memorial Tournament.  The Golden Eagles played hard; fighting to the final game of the tournament, in which they brought home second place--not an easy task since this is a new team, new school, new players, and a new coach.
The team has played five other games since that tournament. They’ve played a close game with Grantsville High with the final score 8-4, Grantsville taking away the win.  The Golden Eagles have also played Springville, Timpanogos, Uintah, and Payson.  This past week the boys played Payson back to back, home and home. On Tuesday, March 30, the Golden Eagles play a great game against Payson with a final score of 13-12 to Payson.
Golden Eagle baseball is only half way through the season, so there are still plenty of games for fans to enjoy and cheer on our team. The next game is Friday, April 2, at Salem Hills.
