Prep of the Week - Britain Carter

Britain Carter is this week's Prep of the Week. Britain won all ten matches at the invitational this past weekend which once again helped the wrestling team win the championship. Britain will lead the wrestling team at the Region 8 championships at Provo High this weekend. Congratulations Britain!

MMHS Ellevés Take Region

The Maple Mountain High School Ellevés competed at the Region VIII Drill Team Competition held at Springville High School on Thursday, January 24, 2013. The Ellevés placed 1st in the Military category; 1st in the Dance category, and 1st in the Kick category. Overall the Ellevés placed 1st and were awarded the Region VIII trophy.

Prep of the Week - Josh Phelps

This weeks "Prep of the Week" is senior guard Josh Phelps. Josh had a huge game at Timpview scoring 17 points while leading the Eagles to a huge win over the T Birds. Josh's outstanding play has helped the Golden Eagles to an 10-3 record. Congratulations Josh and good luck to you, your coaches, and team mates the rest of the way.

Upcoming Dance Company Showcase

February 6th is the Nebo School District Dance Company Showcase at Payson High School. Go enjoy the dance companies from all the high school's in our district, including our very own MMHS Dance Company. Student admission is $5, general admission is $6, and a family pass is $20.

MMHS Ellevés Compete at Murray Classic Drill Team Competition

The MMHS Ellevés competed at the Murray Classic Drill Team Competition at Murray High School on January 12, 2013. They placed 1st in Hip Hop, 1st in Kick, 3rd in Military, and 3rd in Dance. There were eleven 4A schools competing at the competition. The Ellevés also received the Overall 4A Trophy for having the highest scores in their top three routines.

December Students of the Month

MMHS is proud to announce the December students of the month!

In five years, sophomore Bianca Bardsley sees herself having two years of college behind her and preparing for her very own two-year adventure. She likes all her classes because she loves what she is learning in them and thinks all her teachers are excellent.

Prep of the Week - Jon Wixom

Jonathon Wixom is this week's MMHS "Prep of the Week." Jonathon has been a mainstay wrestler for the Golden Eagles all season. He is undefeated in the state and is a big reason the wrestling team is ranked #1 in all classifications.  Congratulations Jonathon, and good luck the rest of the season!

MMHS Ellevés Win Sweepstakes Trophy at Jordan Beet Classic

The MMHS Ellevés competed at The Jordan Beet Classic, held at Jordan High School on Saturday, December 15. The Ellevés competed in the Hip Hop, Military, Dance, and Kick categories. There were nine schools competing in the 4A division; 28 total schools ranging from 1A – 5A.

The Ellevés won 1st place in the Hip Hop category, 1st place in the Military category, 1st place in the Kick category, and 2nd place in the Dance category. They were also awarded the Sweepstakes Trophy for having the top scores out of all the other teams competing.

DECA

On December 5th the Maple Mountain DECA club competed against 500 other students from Utah. Maple Mountain High DECA club is proud to announce that we had three students place in their respective topics: Miriam Cole and Katrina Cole finished third in Hospitality Services, and Brayden Jackman finished 2nd in Hotel and Lodging Management.  We are looking forward to competing in the regional invitational and state competition later this year.
