Born to be an American

Submitted by tyler.lewis on

The dimly lit gym, the soft wrestling mat, the faint scream of coaches as they shout advice to their tense wrestlers. 3… 2… 1… the whistle, and everything around fades out. The competition has begun and nothing else matters.

Wrestling Handily Wins Region

Submitted by tyler.lewis on

Our MMHS Wrestling Team dominated the Region 8 Tournament at Provo High School last weekend. Coach Judkins said, "The kids put in a lot of work. I'm real pleased not just with the fact they won but how they won. We dominated, always working for bonus points (or wins by large margin of victory or pin which bring extra points for the team). We've really stressed getting bonus points. Maple Mountain qualified 25 wrestlers for the state meet, which puts it in a great position to repeat as 4A champions."
