Prep of the Week

Caroline Hickey is the Varsity 1st singles player on the MMHS Tennis Team. Her record is 4-0 so far in the regular season, and she has her sights set on a region championship and then a state championship. She is the team captain for the second year in a row and has been nominated for the Academic All State Award. She will also be named Academic All Region with her high GPA. Caroline is a natural leader and has a lot of fun with her teammates. On the court she is focused and fights for every point.

Choir & Orchestra Fundraiser

Our choirs and orchestras have been invited to perform a solo concert in New York City's Carnegie Hall this February! We are beyond excited and honored to have received this special invitation through successful audition.  The choir and orchestra students are sponsoring a mattress fundraiser this Saturday, September 12th in the South Commons area of our school!

Janna Allred has a Flourishing Baking Reputation

At age 17, Jannelyse Allred, of Mapleton, has a thriving business. She bakes eight varieties of bread for the Mapleton Farmers Market and has done so for a couple years. She has a food handler’s permit as well as a cottage kitchen permit.

4 Gold Medals at FCCLA Nationals

Four MMHS students and Ms. Kunzler were in Washington D.C. July 6-9 at FCCLA Nationals. All of the girls brought home gold medals! They are:

Jana Allred- Entrepreneurship 
McKenna Holmes - Focus on Children 
Ashley Chidester - Leadership 
Haley Andrew - Fashion Construction

Haley Andrew also won 1st place in the nation with her wool suit! She was awarded great scholarships to both the Art Institute and FIDM!
