Maple Mountain High School hosted their first regional track and field competition for Region VIII on May 5 and 6. Preparation and hard work throughout the season paid off for the athletes of this first year school as the boys claimed the region title and the girls took third. Not only did Maple Mountain do well as a team, but there were eight individual titles won from the Golden Eagles--these include Jeff Brammer in the 100, 200, 400, and 4X100, Brent Strong in the 800, Jordan Cuthbert in the 110, 300, and 4x100, Parker Cressman in the Long Jump and High Jump, Spencer Hanson in the 1600, Cameron Carson in the 4X100, Skyler Porcaro in the Javelin, and Jensen Williams in the 400. Congratulations go out to these eight and the many others who qualified to compete at the state competition to be held at BYU May 14and 15.
