This week’s Maple Mountain Prep of the Week is softball star Tori Nielson. She plays 3rd base for the varsity softball team. As a junior she is one of the only upperclassmen to start varsity. Tori considers herself as more of a power hitter; she hits 5th in the lineup.
Tori says she likes softball because “it provides a challenge and is something she loves to do.”
Head softball coach, Cassie Lewis, says, “Tori is the hardest worker I've ever come into contact with. She has a ‘never say die’ kind of attitude and the skills to back it up! She's been a great captain for our team and has lead by example and has done a fantastic job!”
The team has progressed throughout the season and a lot of it is due to Tori’s play.
