Maple Mountain Robotics Team Goes to Nationals

Maple Mountain robotics team attended the national FIRST robotics competition in Atlanta Georgia on April 14th through the 17th.  The Golden Eagles placed 143 out of 365 teams from around the world. Teams as far as Israel and China were at the competition which was held in the Georgia Dome.

“It was a great an experience for everyone on the team. I feel that we came back with more knowledge than when we left,” said the team vice Captain Kyrie Carpenter.  

After such a successful year, Maple Mountain Robotics team is looking forward to the start of next season when FIRST reveals its new challenge that will test the students minds to build an even better robot. The team also feels more confident and more prepared for next year as well.
Maple Mountain Robotics team would like to send a special thanks to is major sponsors:  X-Mission, Nebo School District’s CTE Department, Access Data, Novell, and Sapa. Other special thanks go out to the team’s mentors Mr. Eastmond, Mr. Carpenter, and Mr. Brady.  Without all their help the team would not have been able to complete or compete in this year’s FIRST Robotics Competition.
