The Maple Mountain tennis team traveled to St. George for the annual Duel in the Deseret Tournament comprised of 14 Utah high schools from all over the state. After two days and four tough matches, the Golden Eagles came home with a 1st place trophy for both JV and Varsity.
Both Double teams, 1st Nick Taylor and Kevin Rose and 2nd Trevor Morey and Blaine Blonquist, went undefeated throughout the tournament. In addition, the Singles all went 3-1 (1st Chris Wiscombe 2nd Calder Groberg and 3rd Ryan Porter), with Groberg winning the championship clinching match to the put the Golden Eagles ahead of Park City 3-2 in the finals.
