Danielle Smith, a senior at Maple Mountain High School, has been interning at Larsen Elementary. Danielle helps with one of the kindergarten classes there. She became interested in this line of work because she loves being around little children and being in a learning environment. She says, “They’re all so cute and sweet.”
Some of the duties she performs are helping the children with their math and sorting, motivating them, organizing papers in their folders, and being their friend.
After high school Danielle wants to attend Snow College or Utah Valley University. She recommends the internship program, she says, “It helps you to see if you would like going into that career in the future.”
If you’re interested in the internship program, please contact Mrs. Robyn Dunn, Work-based Learning Coordinator, Maple Mountain High, (801) 794-6740, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
