This Friday night, the Maple Mountain High School Music Department will present their third annual Concerto/Aria Night. Soloists are chosen from among the most talented of the schools musicians. This year the program will include Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with pianist Josh Harding, Saint-Saen’s Piano Concerto No. 2, Third Movement, with pianist Maddie Blonquist, Vitali’s Chaconne with violist Emma Dallon, and vocal arias Habanera from the opera “Carmen” by Georges Bizet and sung by MMHS soprano Kelsey Dominguez, Nella Fantasia by Ennio Marcone, sung by Aisha Brown, and the Pearl Fishers’ Duet by George Bizet, performed by Michael Nixon and Taylor Edwards. The concert will begin at 6:00 PM. Please plan to attend and hear these wonderfully accomplished musicians.
The concert will take place this Friday, May 18th, at 6:00 p.m. in the MMHS auditorium. Maple Mountain music organizations are under the direction of Cory Mendenhall (choir), Chris Wilson (band), and Sherrie Dunford (orchestra).
