Nixan Jackson has been selected as a Maple Mountain High School student athlete "Prep Athlete of the Week" for her outstanding play as a member of the girls soccer team. Nixan has 17 goals on the season and 6 assists in helping her team to a top ranking in the state as they head into the state 5A playoffs.
Senior Katie Smith is the years girls soccer “Prep of the Week” award winner. Katie who plays center back helped lead our girls to the region title and also a deep run in the state soccer playoffs. Katie has shown great leadership and commitment over her four year career at MMHS. She is also a member of the basketball and track teams. Katie was also honored with the UHSAA Academic All State award. Congratulations Katie!
Senior soccer player Kenley Nelson has been selected as a Maple Mountain Student Athlete "Prep of the Week" for her outstanding play on the girls soccer team this season. As a mid forward Kenley has shined throughout the year in helping her team to a high region place and a 7th overall RPI seed in the state. The soccer girls will have several home playoff games as they start the state tournament season. Good luck to Kenley and the rest of the team!
Many students and parents this year thought that all hope was lost for school sports. It seemed impossible to keep everybody safe with the current pandemic. But tryouts for teams were held and the year moved forward as normal. High school sports teams were organized and the seasons started! Sporting events are even allowing spectators, who are expected to wear a mask. Masks are not required for players on the field.
Taylor Bunce has been selected as a Maple Mountain Prep Athlete of the Week for her outstanding play as a member of the soccer team. Taylor's efforts have helped the lady Golden Eagles to sit atop of the standings in Region 8. Taylor has had several multi-goal games so far helping the Eagles stay undefeated in region play. Congratulations Taylor and good luck to you and your team the rest of the way!
Anna Pickering, junior, has been selected as the "Prep Athlete of the Week" for Maple Mountain Sports. Anna's stellar play has put the Lady Golden Eagles in great position as they enter state soccer play next week. With 13 goals so far and an amazing 4 goals against Wasatch, Anna is someone who can find the back of the next. Congratulations Anna and the rest of the Lady Eagles!
Conlee Johnson has been selected as a Prep of the Week for her outstanding play as the goalie on the Lady Eagles soccer team. Conlee and the Lady Eagles have won five straight games and will take on Timpview in the first round of the state soccer playoffs. Good luck to Conlee and the lady Golden Eagles!
Senior forward Courtney Fryer has been selected as a "Prep of the Week." Courtney's outstanding play is one of the reasons the girls soccer team heads into the state championship playoffs as two time Region 8 champions. Congratulations Courtney and good luck in the playoffs!
Jr. forward Kennedee Tracy is our first "Prep of the Week" for the 2012-2013 school year at Maple Mountain High School. Kennedee has scored eight goals so far this year to help her Golden Eagle team to a 4 - 1 record Kennedee is a super player who also leads by example.
