DECA's Regional Competition Results

On February 21st the MMHS DECA club competed at our annual regional competition. The competition was held at BYU. Those who attended the competition were Madisen Millard, Keslee Van Orman, and Austin Willson.

- 3rd Place: Apparel and Accessories, Role Play
- 3rd Place: Apparel and Accessories, Test

Austin Willson
- 1st Place: Quick Serve Restaurant, Test
- 2nd Place: Quick Serve Restaurant, Role Play
- Also received a high score test award

Maple Mountain High School Ellevés Place 2nd at Region

The Maple Mountain High School Ellevés competed at the Region 9 Drill Team Competition held at Salem Hills High School on Thursday, January 20, 2022. The Ellevés placed 2nd in the Military category; 2nd in the Dance category, and 2nd in the Show category. Overall, the Ellevés placed 2nd in Region 9.

Three Ellevés placed in the drill down. Camdyn Marker placed 3rd; Rylee Bingham placed 2nd; and Alexis Hill placed 1st.

State Board of Education, DonorsChoose Launch $12 Million Effort for Educators Largest COVID Relief Funding Program of Its Kind to Directly Help Utah Public School Classrooms

SALT LAKE CITY – Today, the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) officially launches the allocation of $12 million in COVID-19 relief funds to directly help K-12 public school educators get classroom resources for the school year through DonorsChoose, a nonprofit crowdfunding website. The collaboration between USBE and DonorsChoose is the largest of its kind to date in the nation and will provide Utah educators with up to $1,000 in funding for their projects, empowering them to support their students' success with classroom resources.
