In Miss Hasrell’s first grade class at East Meadows Elementary School, Megan Tietjen is obviously one of the tallest students in the room. As an intern, Tietjen learns how to teach first grade as an observer and helps out in whatever ways she can around the classroom.
“I’ve always around teachers and I enjoy being around little kids,” Tietjen said. “Teaching is also something I enjoy doing. I think this is an enjoyable line of work that lets you accomplish a lot because you are constantly helping kids learn.”

“I love working in the emergency room,” says Olsen. “I love it when the days are really busy and there is a lot of action going on. I have gotten to see a lot of cool, bloody things, and even a dead body.”

On May 4, 2010, the Maple Mountain boys tennis team performed well at the region tournament. The JV team was phenomenal and took 1st place over all. Calder Groberg, 1st JV singles, did an awesome job hitting his way to victory taking first place. The only freshman on the team Matt Chandler, 2nd JV singles,  took first with his consistent serve and ground stroke game. Nate Hawks, 3rd JV singles, also played very hard and well taking 2nd place. We had three doubles teams in the tournament; they all played to the best of their abilities. Cameron Spilker and Just
