On August 28, 2010 Maple Mountain Girls Soccer played Sky View at home.  Even though the young team didn’t get the victory, they still played tough.  Sky View beat Maple Mountain 5-0 in a physical game.

“Sky View is a really good team,” exclaimed Coach Carolyn Swenson.

Coach Swenson also said that the game was a good learning experience and now the girls know what they need to work on.

“We are still a strong team,” was Coach Swenson’s final words.

Last Saturday, August 28, Maple Mountain Cross Country jumped hay bales during a two mile race in American Fork.  Varsity put forth tremendous effort maintaining fifth place until the very last lap where they finished in eighth.  This is only the second meet of the season and they‘re starting off with lots of heart and determination.

Mr. Gary Miner, MMHS teacher, not only teaches history and government but also coaches the first MMHS Baseball team. With ten years of coaching under his belt, Coach Miner knows what he’s doing. Taking a brand new group of boys and turning them into a team is no easy task, but Coach Miner has done a fantastic job this year as head coach.
