Maple Mountain High Youth Summer Dance Camp

MMHS youth summer dance camp will be taught by the Maple Mountain Dance Company under the direction of Karla K. Palfreyman. Dancers will have the opportunity to learn and experience, Creative Based Instruction, Jazz and Contemporary Dance Technique, Improvisation, and Choreography. (Camp T-shirt included)

Price: $40
Ages: 4-12
Place: Maple Mountain High School – Dance Room #A117
Dates: June 25 and 26 from 9:00 - 11:00 am
           June 27 from 9:00 – 10:30 am

Where do you want to see yourself in five years?  Living in California working as a cosmetologist.
What are your favorite hobbies?  Going on adventures., watching Marvel movies, making grilled cheese. 
If you could have a conversation with anyone from history, who would it be and what would you ask them?  David Bowie because he's a legend.  I'd ask him, "What do you wish someone told you when you were growing up?"

Dance Company 2018-2019 Members

Congratulations to the newly selected Maple Mountain Dance Company members 2018-2019.  Auditions included a clinic dance in addition to individual choreography.  Of 56 applicants, 22 made the final cut for Dance Company.  After their debut in the MMHS Dance Concert this April, they will now start summer practices to prepare for their performance during the first day of school next year.

Sports Physicals

We are holding physicals for fall sports and summer camps (or anyone that wants one) here at the high school on Wednesday, May 30th from 3:30-5:30 pm.  The cost is $20.00 cash or check and the paperwork will be available in advanced in the front office or the day of at the physicals. Athletes will meet in the MMHS Athlete's Commons area and be directed where to go. The change that occurred last year with physicals going for the school year and not calendar year.

Summer Youth Arts Festival

Are you wondering what your first adventure will be this summer?  Look no further that the Youth Arts Festival at Spanish Fork High School.  The Arts Festival has a variety of classes to fit all your children’s interests.  We have Marvel vs DC classes, StoryBook Art, Harry Potter Art, Creative Writing, Needle Felting, Lego Art Academy, Disney Princess Art, Musical Theater Ensemble, Improv, Hip Hop, Highland Dance, Cooking, Tumbling, Magic, and much, much more!  

MMHS STEM Ambassadors

Maple Mountain High School’s STEM Ambassadors club had another successful year.  Having the opportunity to meet with students from Sierra Bonita and Mapleton Elementary schools, the STEM ambassadors taught principles of coding to all fifth grade students.  This was done by teaching stage two of code.org.  While some elementary students struggled, other students made it to stage three.  Jared Martin said the following, “Throughout my high school career, this has been one of my favorite classes that I have taken.  Most definitely my favo
