Preps of the Week - Laney Melton, Madeline Froerer, & Jamie Topham

Laney Melton was named to Academic All-Region team, All-Region Team, and placed 3rd in the drill down at Region. She also won 1st place at the Murray Classic Drill Down and is also a member of the 4A All-State Drill Team. She's a senior and three-year member of the drill team. She is also the team's Drill Mistress. Madeline Froerer was named to  Academic All-Region team and All-Region Team. Jamie Topham was named to the Academic All-Region team, All-Region Team, and is a member of the 4A All-State Drill Team.

MMHS Ellevés Take Region

The Maple Mountain High School Ellevés competed at the Region VIII Drill Team Competition held at Timpview High School on Thursday, January 23, 2014.  The Ellevés placed 1st in the Military category; 1st in the Dance category, and 1st in the Character category.  Overall, the Ellevés placed 1st and were awarded the Region VIII trophy.  Emily Kessinger, daughter of Bryan and Jana Kessinger, won 1st place in the drill down competition; Bryn Starkey, daughter of Chris and Julie Starkey, won 2nd place in the drill down competition; Laney Melton, daughter of Aaron and Tanya Melton,

Prep of the Week - Thomas Mortensen

Thomas Mortensen has been selected as this week's Prep of the Week. Thomas has been outstanding with his defense and rebounding for the boys basketball team this year. His performances lately have helped the Golden Eagles to two big region 8 wins this past week. Congratulations, Thomas and good luck the rest of the season!

Ellevés Place First at Murray Classic Drill Team Competition

The MMHS Ellevés competed at the Murray Classic Drill Team Competition at Murray High School on January 11, 2014. They placed 1st in Hip Hop, 1st in Military, 1st in Dance, and 1st in Character. There were eight 4A schools competing at the competition. The Ellevés also received the Overall 4A Trophy for having the highest scores in their top three routines and an Exceptional Technique Trophy.
