Senior Micala Pearson from Maple Mountain High School interns at Cedar Fort Publishing in Springville. In addition to reading manuscripts, she learns how to write and publish books.

“Well, I have learned the process of book making and how a writer writes a book and how it gets published,” said Pearson.

Micala loves to learn the process of book making and recommends working an internship.

Pearson said, “It’s a good opportunity to go into the field of your choice and figure out if that’s for totally absolutely sure what you want to do. It’s just nice because Mrs. Robyn Dunn is the one that has to call places that you would like to intern for.”

Micala plans on attending college and maybe studying abroad.

“I want to go to Southern Utah University and study English, creative writing. Also I would like to study abroad in Ireland and work on my writing,” said Pearson.

If you’re interested in the internship program, please contact Mrs. Robyn Dunn, Work-based Learning Coordinator, Maple Mountain High, (801) 794-6740, or robyn.dunn [at] nebo.edu (robyn[dot]dunn[at]nebo[dot]edu).
