The state SkillsUSA Competition was Thursday and Friday last week. We took 24 students up to SLCC to compete in their respective fields. We had a whopping 15 medals with a few just outside of the podium. 8 Students qualified to attend Nationals in Atlanta this June. Listed below are the results.

Here are the results of our Region Drama competition yesterday- our team did fantastic! We won Third in the Sweepstakes, and the following students got individual awards:
Third place in Humorous Monologues and Best Supporting Actor in a One Act: Joe Nelson
Second place in Contemporary Scenes: Joy Coxson, Alexis Jensen, and Abby Vierra
First place in Musical Theatre: Nicole Cragun, Kaylene Neo, and Annie Call
Second place in Pantomime: Cecily Dyer
Third place in Scenic Design: Daniel Cooper

A huge congratulations to our Dance Company! They received 2 Superior ratings - the highest you can get - for Elle Bullock and Emily Edwards' student choreography at the Utah State High School Dance Festival in St. George this weekend. Elle Bullock, Madi Goulding, and Emily Edwards received dance scholarships from Weber State, UVU, and BYU. Ellie Hadfield received the Outstanding Dancer Award. Way to go MMDC!
Our MMHS FBLA club members took home multiple awards at the state FBLA competition this week! I'm so proud of them for their hard work! Several of our students qualified to attend the national competition in Atlanta, GA this summer!
