Fall Band Concert

Submitted by tyler.lewis on

Students go to band to be themselves and work hard at being the best they can be. They create wonderful music and perform to the best of their abilities. Mr. Hurst, the band director, makes the learning environment welcoming and fun. He pushes them to be the best they can be and all the students have been improving and growing. The program is a team effort. It doesn’t work well if they aren’t working together. Everyone puts in their time and practices, and the effort really shows when they perform.

The band concert on October 20th was the result of them preparing for about two months. Four bands performed at the concert; the jazz band, the percussion class, concert band, and marching band. After the concert, Mr. Hurst stated, “I think it went really well. One the best fall concerts we’ve ever done.” When asked about what he expects for the future of the band program, he said, “I’m expecting a lot of growth, and for us to keep going, moving onward, and upward.” We look forward to seeing the bands future progress and we wish them the best of luck.
