Morgan Honsvick has been selected as a Maple Mountain "Prep Athlete " of the week for her outstanding performances this spring in the sport of track and field.  Morgan, who participates in the shot put and the discus throw, had an outstanding region meet and also took her efforts a little higher by winning the state championship in the shot put with a throw of 36'9".  Morgan was also a state champion in girls wrestling two years ago.  Morgan is also an outstanding student currently carrying a perfect 4.0 grade point average.  Congratulations Morgan and good luck the rest of the way.

Senior Ella Jackson has been selected as a Maple Mountain "Prep Athlete" of the week for her outstanding play as a pitcher for the softball team for the last four years. Since her freshman year, Ella has been a varsity participant usually as the number 1 picture but also plays 1st base when not pitching. Team mates have looked up to Ella for not only her outstanding play but also for her leadership.  Ella is not only an outstanding pitcher but also as batter at the plate.  Ella this past year had an outstanding batting average of 351.  Over her four years Ella hit 19 home runs.  Congratulations on a great softball career and good luck in your future endeavors.

Banks Jackson has been selected as a Maple Mountain "Prep Athlete" of the week for his outstanding performances this spring as a member of the boys track and field team. Banks competes in the 100m, 200m, 400m and several relays.  This year Banks broke the school record in the 200m, 400m and as a member of the 4 x 200m relay.  Banks was the region champion in three events.  At the state meet Banks placed high in all of the events he competed in. Banks is also a member of the basketball team and football team.  As a student athlete, Banks currently maintains a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Congratulations Banks and good luck the rest of the way.

Taylor Yee has been selected as a Maple Mountain "Prep Athlete of the Week" for her outstanding efforts as a member of the girls lacrosse and track and field teams.  As a middie on the lacrosse team, Taylor was one of the leading goal scorers helping the team to a deep run in the state tournament. Taylor also won the state title in the girls pole vault at the recent state championships at BYU.  This is Taylor's 2nd consecutive state title in pole vault.  Taylor is also an outstanding student athlete at our school currently carrying a perfect 4.0 grade point average.  Congratulations on your success as a student and multi sport athlete and good luck in the future.
