Joshua Spackman takes a Business Management class as a concurrent enrollment student though UVU.  As part of this class, students are required to write a business plan. Students can enter a competition by submitting a business plan for a $500 cash prize. If they win our school competition, they qualify to compete at UVU against students from other schools for a $1000 cash prize. Joshua Spackman and other students submitted business plans and interviewed like the "Shark Tank" TV show.  Joshua won the $500 and will be competing at UVU for the $1000 prize.

Business Ethics Competition

Submitted by tyler.lewis on Wed, 04/02/2014 - 12:05

Congratulations to Rebekkah Hart, Duncan Beutler, and Thomas Heinz for winning the Business Ethics Competition hosted by BYU’s Accounting Program, in the Marriot School of Management on March 29th. Against 9 other schools, they were given one hour to examine a real ethics dilemma, decide on a position, prepare a presentation, and then give their presentation to a panel of judges which consisted of students and professors. After advancing past the preliminaries, they were one of three teams in the finals; eventually beating Orem and Lone Peak in the finals to win first place and $300.
