MMHS Student Helps Provide Therapy

Junior Golden Eagle Kayla Adams has been busy interning at Peaks Physical Therapy. She helps with all sorts of tasks, including assisting the facility by sanitizing work areas and creating heat packs. She also observes exercises performed by the physical therapist, learning valuable experience in the meantime. One of the neatest things for Kayla in this internship was observing the dramatic improvement in patients and watching the recovery exercises make positive differences in patient mobility.
While Kayla has obtained a lot of beneficial information about this facet of the medical field, Kayla would rather pursue a career as a nurse, because she would prefer to be constantly engaged in helping people. She aims to get accepted into the medical school at University of Utah so she can become a registered nurse and then, in her words, “Save people for the rest of my life.”
