Our own Maple Mountain boys’ tennis team took on Salem Hills on Thursday March, 30. Even though the wind was unbearable, our Golden Eagles blew past the competition winning all of their matches and coming away with a 5-0 win. At first varsity singles, Chris Wiscombe won his match in a very convincing 6-1, 6-0 straight set victory.

At second varsity singles Rustin Porter ripped the ball the entire match and came out with a easy 6-1, 6-2 victory. At third varsity singles Hunter Hullinger played flawlessly, hitting crisp volleys and ripping serves all the way to a 6-3, 6-0 win. Our doubles teams also played extremely well. With team captain Jacob Guymon and Jordon Argyle serving and volleying all the way to a 6-0, 6-4 win and extending their record to 7-0!

Finally, 2nd varsity doubles Trevor Morey and Braden George won their match 6-1, 7-5.
The Golden Eagles Junior Varsity tennis team dominated their matches with a 5-0 sweep.  JV singles roster: Calder Groberg, Matt Chandler, and Nate Hawks.   JV doubles roster:  Cameron Spilker/Tyson Griffin and Justin “Kansas” Slavens/Justin Beary.
