On March 11-13, Maple Mountain High School Boys Tennis Team performed remarkable at the Dual in the Desert Season opener. The MMHS boys varsity overpowered top 5A and 4A teams including Snow Canyon, Ben Lomond, Jordan, all 5-0, and Wasatch 3-2.

Our first, second, and third varsity singles are as follows:  Chris Wiscombe, Rustin Porter, and Braden George. Maple Mountain’s first doubles team is composed of Nick W. Taylor and Jordan Argyle. Varsity placed thirdoverall, which is extremely well.  Tyson Griffin and Blaine Blonquist are the Golden Eagles second varsity doubles team. Tyson Griffin, senior, said “We did really well we won four out of five matches and went undefeated in the semi-finals and finals on Saturday.” Maple Mountain’s junior varsity team won second place overall. Nick H. Taylor and Trevor Morey are Maple Mountain’s second JV doubles and played in the championship game and fell to fellow Golden Eagle players Jake Guyman and Justin Slavens who are Maple Mountain’s first JV doubles.   Maple Mountain’s first tennis team is coached by Paul Whiting, Steve Blonquist, and Adam Folkman.
