On Tuesday, January 12, the Golden Eagles took on the Red Devils on Maple Mountain’s home court. Springville took the win with a score of 77-42, but Maple Mountain turned up the heat during the second half and was able to shake up the game. Though the score wasn’t always evenly matched, Maple Mountain and Springville both scored 50% of their free throws. Connor Murphy had his highest scoring game of the season scoring 14 points, 9 of which came from 3 point shots. Despite their solid effort, the Maple Mountain Varsity Boy’s team wasn’t able to secure their next win, but the road ahead should provide several more opportunities.
