Zach Haycock -- MMHS Intern 90.31 KB

Zach Haycock, Maple Mountain Junior, is an Intern at the Family Pet Hospital in Mapleton. He loves helping customers with their pets. Because of his love of animals, Haycock is very devoted to his work. Haycock himself has two Alaskan Malamutes. Haycock assists with surgeries, prepares fecal tests, takes care of and groom boarding dogs, and performs dental cleanings for dogs.

“It is much more challenging than I would have thought; but, I am devoted to this career and would enjoy working with animals,” said Haycock

“One time I got to watch a surgery on a dog that ate fake grass. The surgeons had to get the grass out of the dog’s intestines,” said Haycock

He plans on attending Southern Utah University or Wisconsin Veterinary School. He would like to study Animal Science and then Equine Science.

Haycock said, “This Internship helps me to know what it’s going to take to stick with this career.”
