Ryan Parry -- MMHS Intern 41.73 KB

Ryan Parry is one of Maple Mountain’s seniors interning at Utah Helicopter.  Some of the duties that Ryan is involved in while on the job is sitting back, relaxing, and learning from the instructors.

One cool experience Ryan had was flying for over an hour over the American Fork temple and observing a school as it was dismissing for the day.

Ryan has benefited from his internship at Utah Helicopter; he knows more about aviation and has had hands-on experience. He has learned about Victor Airways, VHF omnidirectional radio range, IFRs, VFRs and much more.  After working at Utah Helicopter for a term, Ryan has decided to continue pursuing a career in aviation.  He plans on attending Utah Valley University to further his education in Helicopter aviation.

Ryan explained, “It’s going to be a long time and a lot of money ($85,000), but I’ll do it.”

Ryan is interested in becoming a pilot either commercially or through the military, “Whichever one comes along,” said Ryan.

If you’re interested in the internship program, please contact Mrs. Robyn Dunn, Work-based Learning Coordinator, Maple Mountain High, (801) 794-6740, or robyn.dunn [at] nebo.edu (robyn[dot]dunn[at]nebo[dot]edu).
