Nebo Partners with Red Cross to Provide a Disaster Shelter Live Tour & Preparedness Fair

A Disaster Shelter Live Tour & Preparedness Fair will be held on September 16, 2019, at the Nebo School District's Summit Center.  The Red Cross will be setting up a shelter and will provide a free meal for the first 400 attendees.  There will be preparedness classes which you can sign up for.  If you and your family are interested in seeing what a shelter looks like, you may want to attend this fair.

For Nebo Parents--Uplift Parenting Conference

The Uplift Parenting Conference is the initiative of First Lady of Utah Jeanette Herbert. Five presenters will be giving Tips Talks. Presenters include: David Osmond, Brad Barton, Jessie Funk, Collin Kartchner, and Clay Olsen. Topics range from resiliency, addiction recovery, social media, and anxiety. Please see attached document for details.

School Community Council Member Update

Attention MMHS Parents:

There is no contested race for School Community Council (SCC) positions this year; therefore, no SCC elections will be held for parents or faculty. Notice of SCC meetings, agendas, and members will be made available on the school website soon. Thank you to all parents and faculty that volunteered to serve. Go Eagles!

Jr. Drill Clinic

The Ellevés will be holding their annual fall JrDrill Clinic on September 9 -12, 2019.  Registration will be on September 4 from 5 – 7 p.m. in the commons area outside of the MMHS Dance Studio.  Cost is $25.  The clinic is for girls ages 3 – 13 and there will be a hip hop class for boys ages 5 – 10.  All participants will perform at a JV football game.  Contact any member of the drill team for more information.  Bring attached flyer to receive a discount.  Come dance with the MMHS Ellevés!

Free Parent Education Night - Mental Health, Relationships, and Behavior

There will be a free parent education night September 16, 2019 at 7:00pm held at Salem Hills High School.

In 2006, Dr. Hendershott co-founded Hope 4 The Wounded, LLC, with his wife Dardi. He is a keynote speaker at various conferences and conducts professional development across the Nation on the effects of trauma on learning and behavior. 

Joe has authored two books, Reaching the Wounded Student (Eye on Education, 2008) and 7 Ways to Transform the Lives of Wounded Students (Routledge/Taylor & Francis, 2016). 

Swim Team Pre-Meeting

MMHS Swim Team Meeting 
When: Tuesday, August 27th at 3:00 pm
Where: MMHS Team Room #107

This meeting is for all continuing swimmers, new 9th grade swimmers who will be attending MMHS next year, and anyone else interested in joining the team.

We will have registration information, physical forms, information on practice times, and a tentative meet schedule for the upcoming 2019-2020 swim season.
