Maple Mountain High School is pleased to announce our participation in the Sterling Scholar Awards. This is a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate our “Attitude of Excellence.” Thank you for your interest in representing our school. Sterling Scholar candidates are evaluated on the following criteria: Scholarship, Category Expertise, Leadership, Community Service/Citizenship, and Interview. Each area is weighted 20%.
One MMHS student may be nominated in each of the 14 categories. Each nominee will prepare a portfolio and participate in a regional judging of the portfolio. Live interviews will be scheduled for those who are selected as semi-finalists.
To apply for nomination as a class of 2024 MMHS Sterling Scholar:
Complete the application found on the MMHS Counseling Website, attach an official transcript, and return it to the appropriate category chair by Friday, November 3rd, 3:00 PM. Student transcripts must include 1st term grades, these will be available by Wednesday, November 1st. Students may apply in more than one category, but a student may only be nominated in one category. Nominees will be announced Tuesday, November 21st.
