On December 9th our Nebo District DECA clubs held their first annual competition. Teams from Payson High, Maple Mountain High, and Salem Hills High participated in the event. Students from each school completed an objective test and competed in two events showcasing their knowledge and skills by presenting their ideas in the following subject areas:
Team Events:
Entrepreneurship
Travel and Tourism
Marketing Management
Individual Events:
Apparel and Accessories
Human Resource Management
Quick Serve Restaurant Management
Sports and Entertainment Marketing
Many students won medals for competing with the annual school trophy going to Maple Mountain High School for winning the most points overall. We look forward to growing this competition next year with all district schools participating and more students competing. We would like to thank all those who came and participated as judges! Also, thanks to all the teachers who helped and made this possible for our students. A special thanks to Katie Kelly and Payson High School for hosting the competition this year.
