The MMHS Ellevés competed in their first competition of the season, The UVU Invitational Drill Competition, at UVU on Friday, December 8. The Ellevés competed in the Hip Hop, Military, Dance, and Show categories.
The Ellevés won 1st place in the Hip Hop category, 2nd place in the Military category, 2nd place in the Dance category, and 2 d place in the Show category. Overall, they placed 2nd against some top 5A schools.
Alyssa Clark won 2nd place and Hadlie Miller won 3rd place in the 5A Drill Down.
Nine Ellevés competed in the UVU Invitational Solo Competition on Saturday, December 9. Ellie Asay, Brooklyn Cherrington, Alyssa Clark, Shaylie Durfey, Cher Jackson, Madison Keller, Hadlie Miller, Ava Morris, and Kennedie Reid competed in various categories.
Ellie Asay and Alyssa Clark placed 1st , Cher Jackson placed 1st , Ava Morris placed 1st , Hadlie Miller placed 2nd , Kennedie Reid placed 2nd, Shaylie Durfey placed 3rd, Madison Keller placed 4th, and Brooklyn Cherrington placed 5th. Cher Jackson also placed 1st Overall in 5A.
The Ellevés will now prepare for their next competition which is on December 16 at Mountain Ridge High School.
