The MMHS Ellevés competed in the Best of Drill competition at Mountain Ridge High School on Saturday, December 17. The Ellevés competed in the Hip Hop, Military, Dance, and Show categories.
The Ellevés won 1st place in the Hip Hop category, 2nd place in the Military category and a Judges Choice award, 2nd place in the Dance category, and 1st place in the Show category. The Ellevés also won the 5A Overall trophy. The team was very excited and pleased with their success!
The Ellevés won four of the five medals in the drill down. Lexi Hill won 5th place, Tyli Knudsen won 4th place, Alyssa Clark won 2nd place, and Oaklee Tingey won 1st place.
Nine Ellevés competed in the Best of Drill Solo Competition on Friday, December 16. Ellie Asay, Avery Atkinson, Alyssa Clark, Shaylie Durfey, Cher Jackson, Kaela Jones, Hadlie Miller, Lauren Taylor and Oaklee Tingey competed in various categories. Alyssa Clark placed 5th , Ellie Asay and Lauren Taylor placed 4th , Shaylie Durfey placed 3rd , Cher Jackson, Kaela Jones, and Oaklee Tingey placed 2nd , and Hadlie Miller placed 1st . Cher Jackson, Hadlie Miller, and Oaklee Tingey made the 5A Top Ten Soloists. Judges Choice awards were given to Cher Jackson and Hadlie Miller.
The Ellevés will now prepare for their next competition which is on January 14 at Roy High School.
