What is your favorite quote and why?
“Nobody is perfect, but I’m as close as it gets.” I like this because it’s true no one is perfect, but we all have our differences. Don’t leave anyone out–invite others into the group. 

Where do you want to see yourself in five years?
I see myself in college, married or on a mission.

Amber Ray
What is your favorite quote and why?
“Triumph is just ‘umph’ added to ‘try.’” It means that I need to just keep working hard. I also like, “Nothing is impossible; the word itself says ‘I’m possible.’” I like it because it is cool.

Where do you want to see yourself in five years?
I see myself in college at BYU Idaho or at least in a good college.

What are your favorite hobbies?
Soccer, basketball, sewing, ATV riding, piano, horse riding, singing, reading.

What is your favorite quote and why?
“Just keep swimming”. –Dory. I don’t like to worry about hard things. I just want to move forward.

Where do you want to see yourself in five years?
Driving a Jeep and living on the coast. I want to go to Oregon for college. 

What are your favorite hobbies?
Drawing or creating new things and going to the gym.

Megan Wasden
What is your favorite quote and why?
“What are you going to do today to be better tomorrow?” – My volleyball coach. This is my favorite quote because it is applicable to all areas of life and inspires me to improve myself by doing the daily things that count.

Where do you want to see yourself in five years?
I hope to be surviving college, have my driver’s license, and have successfully run a marathon.

Where do you want to see yourself in five years?
I see myself going to college and studying to become a marine biologist. 

What are your favorite hobbies?
I like wrestling, track and field, singing, and drawing.

Sophomore Sarah Foutz sees herself in five years in college studying for a career. Her hobbies are playing the piano, singing, and reading. Her favorite subject in school is anything music related. Currently, she’s in choir and taking a music theory class.

If Sarah could meet anyone in history, she would like to talk to her grandparents and ask them about their lives.

Sophomore Katelyn Mitchell’s favorite quote is, “If a task is once begun, never leave it till it’s done. Be the labor great or small, do it well or not at all.” In five years, she sees herself returned from an LDS mission and then at college.

Sophomore Madeline Palmer’s favorite quote is, “Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny.” –C.S. Lewis. In five years, she sees herself in college and after already serving a mission. She thinks it is very important to have a plan, but also to go with the flow of life and be willing to adjust our plans based on what happens to us.

September Students of the Month

Sophomore Kelsy Flander’s favorite quote is, “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” –Albus Dumbledore.

This helps her remember that things could always be worse, and that there are positive things all around her. In five years, she hopes to be coming home from an L.D.S. mission and going into college.

Kelsy enjoys reading, writing, singing, playing the flute, and piano. Her favorite subject in school is Ancient Civilizations because she finds them interesting and compelling.
