MMHS Ag Teachers work all summer long doing stockshows, leadership training, and FFA activities, but the biggest part of our summer job is to supervise our students in their Agriculture Projects. These projects can literally be anything in the agriculture industry, and they can range from a summer garden or a pet dog to a job for a landscape company or veterinarian. If it relates to the agricultural industry, it can count for their project!
MMHS students are in Nashville, TN, at the 2021 FCCLA National Leadership Conference. Brynn and Lucy Kilpatrick represented MMHS FCCLA and won third place in the nation in the Chapter Service Project Portfolio competition. Brian Bess has been selected as a Maple Mountain High School "Prep Athlete of the Week" for his outstanding play this season as a forward on the soccer team. Brian has scored 10 goals and 18 assists this season. His assist total leads the 5A ranks. Brian has been a huge factor in leading the soccer team to the semifinals of the state soccer tournament. Brian was also an outstanding member of the football team as a wide receiver. Brian is also solid in the classroom compiling a 3.98 cumulative grade point average over the past 4 years.
