Danielle Smith Interns at Larsen Elementary

Danielle Smith, a senior at Maple Mountain High School, has been interning at Larsen Elementary. Danielle helps with one of the kindergarten classes there. She became interested in this line of work because she loves being around little children and being in a learning environment. She says, “They’re all so cute and sweet.”

Some of the duties she performs are helping the children with their math and sorting, motivating them, organizing papers in their folders, and being their friend.

MMHS Student Interns in Body and Bones

Senior Braden Elquist has been interning in the radiology department at Mountain View Hospital in Payson.  Elquist wants to pursue a career as a radiologist by attending the University of Utah and majoring in Biology and pre-medicine.

“It’s cool to see inside the body, and it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” says Elquist.

Alysa Skousen Loves Preschool

Maple Mountain senior Alysa Skousen is interning at Park Elementary Preschool in Spanish Fork.  Alysa was interested in this line of work because she loves little children.

Maple Mountain High presents, “The Scarlet Pimpernel”

Maple Mountain High School performing arts department proudly presents our fall musical, “The Scarlet Pimpernel,” November 19, 20 and 22 at 7 pm in the MMHS auditorium.  Admission will be $5 children and seniors, $7 for students and $8 for adults.  Come and enjoy an evening of music, comedy, action and romance.

Over one hundred Golden Eagle students are participating in the production as cast, crew and musicians!

The musical stars Madison Hurst as Percy Blakeny and the Scarlet Pimpernel.  “A humorous, vein, petty and very passionate character,” said Hurst.

Maple Mountain student rolls her way to the top

Junior Aimee Vargas has begun playing her second season with the Jr. Wheelin’ Jazz basketball team.  Most basketball fans are familiar with the NBA’s Utah Jazz, but most are not familiar with NWBA’s Jr. Wheelin’ Jazz (www.jr.wheelinjazz.com).  NWBA stands for the National Wheelchair Basketball Association. The Jr. Wheelin’ Jazz is ranked in the top 25 of all Jr. Division teams in the NWBA and they’re headed into their second season of national competition after winning 7th place in Denver last year.   Recently the Jr.
