March Students of the Month

Submitted by tyler.lewis on

Maple Mountain High announces the March students of the month.

In five years, Sophomore Erica Olesen sees herself attending college figuring out her new, bright future. Erica favorite subject in school is math because everything has an answer, and it is very precise.

Her favorite quote is, "Life is like a game of cards. The hand that is dealt to you, it’s your choice on how you play it." She likes that quote because it helps her remember that everybody is different and that you shouldn’t need to compare yourself to others.

UCBT Class Experiences Deafness and Blindness

Submitted by tyler.lewis on

On March 14, Mr. Holden’s UCBT class and many peer tutors had the opportunity to be a part of a deaf/blind experience. This was a great opportunity for many of us to get a little better understanding of what it would be like to be deaf and/or blind. Many students commented on how fortunate they were to have their sight and hearing. It was a great learning experience for all. Thank you to Sundi Goulding from USDB for taking the time to share this experience with us.

UCBT Celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday

Submitted by tyler.lewis on

On March 2, Mr. Holden’s UCBT class celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday by having green eggs and ham as part of their Life Skills activity. Did you know green eggs and ham do not taste any different than regular yellow eggs? Some students were hesitant to eat the green eggs, but they overcame their fears after Mr. Holden said he would eat some if they did!
