ACT-AMERICAN COLLEGE TEST
The ACT is required at most 4-year colleges in the state of Utah for admissions and scholarship consideration. The test covers english, reading, mathematics and science reasoning. Juniors are encouraged to take the ACT sometime in April or June in order to see what the test is like, to use the results for further preparation, to get a feel for the timing of the test, and to see if the location was comfortable or not.
Seniors are strongly encouraged to take the ACT in September, October or December in order for them to get the results back in time for both college admission and scholarship consideration. The following index chart is referred to as the Academic Index score and is often used for both the admissions process as well as for receiving academic scholarships.
