The MMHS Ellevés competed at the Salt Lake Valley Drill Team Competition at Juan Diego High School on January 7, 2012. They placed 2nd in Hip Hop, 2nd in Military, 2nd in Lyrical, 2nd in Character, and 3rd in Dance. There were eight 4A schools competing at the competition.
Three Ellevés also took the top three spots in the drill down. Laney Melton won 3rd place, Aubrey Finch won 2nd place, and Neisha Martinez won 1st place.
On Friday night, at the Solo Competition, Shalee Hiskey, who is a second-year member of the MMHS Ellevés and assistant drill mistress, competed in the 4A jazz solo competition and won 1st place.
