Tryouts for the Maple Mountain High School Ellevés Drill Team were held on March 28 – 31, 2011. Twenty seven girls tried out with twenty girls making the final cut. The girls were taught a short military routine and a dance routine which they performed for the judges. They also showed their technique skills in some across the floor combinations.
The new team is very excited to begin! They will have their first performance in the upcoming 2010-11 MMHS Ellevé Showcase, being held at MMHS in the auditorium on Friday, April 29, 2011. They are also looking forward to performing at Basic Dance Training camp in June and local parades in July.
Watch for details this summer as the girls will host their third annual MMHS Drill Team Golf Classic. The tournament is tentatively set to be held on September 10th at the Spanish Oaks Golf Course.
