Maple Mountain High school students of the month are Adriane Lowe, Madison Hurst, Jacob Henry, Blake Brown, Kimberly Jackson and Allison Eager.

Adriane Lowe -- Senior Adriane Lowe wants to major in Business Management and then she would like to work as a hospital administrator.  She likes rollerblading, snowboarding, painting, jogging, singing, cooking and swimming.

Her favorite quote is, “You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep at night because reality is finally better than your dreams.  I love this quote because it is so true,” said Adriane Lowe.

In junior high, Lowe and her friend once thought they were late for class, so they started running, but once they got to class they realized that they were in fact not late but early.

Her favorite classes are English and art because English lets her express herself by learning to write more efficiently; art does the same but she gets to learn on her own how to improve her work.

Madison Hurst -- Junior Madison Hurst’s favorite hobbies include singing, traveling, playing dodge ball, acting and watching Tangled.  He likes to have deep conversations with people that he has barely made acquaintance with.

Madison’s favorite quote is, “Most men can face adversity; but, if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”

“This quote by Abraham Lincoln which reminds me to be humble and to always act with justice and equality whenever I am put in a leadership position,” said Madison.

If Hurst could talk to anyone from history he would talk to James Madison the Father of the Constitution; he would ask him how he created the American government.

Hurst’s favorite subject in school is AP US History, because he loves learning and studying the creation of the United States.

Jacob Henry -- Senior Jacob Henry sees himself working on his masters in filmmaking/animation at Brigham Young University and preparing to get married in five years. Henry enjoys playing the piano, writing stories, making movies, hanging out with friends, playing videogames and watching movies with his family.

Jacob’s favorite quote is by Yogi Berra, “If you don’t know where you are going you will wind up somewhere else.”

Something different about him is that he has lived in four different states (New Jersey, California, Texas and Utah), and he can find humor in every situation.

When Henry was in 2nd grade he won the Principal for a Day award. When it was his day to be principal he was given the opportunity to speak on announcements; he declared that there would be free ice cream for everybody and an extra hour and a half of recess.

Blake Brown

Sophomore Blake Brown, sees himself as an artist. He wants to be an artist because it gives him free time.

Brown enjoys reading, sometimes for even hours at a time. If he could talk to anyone from history he would talk to Neil Armstrong. Something that makes him different from everyone else is that he is funny and likes to tell jokes and make people laugh.

“He is always positive and looking at the bright side of things,” said Ms. Kyra Benson, one of his UCBT teachers.

Kimberly Jackson is a junior at Maple Mountain.  In five years she sees herself in college, married or on an LDS mission.

Her Favorite quote is by Marty Sklar, “There are two ways to look at a blank piece of paper, one way is to see it as the most frightening thing in the world because there is nothing on it and you have to make the first mark. The other way is to see the blank sheet as the greatest opportunity in the world… you can let your imagination fly in any direction.”

The funniest thing that has ever happened to her was that she accidentally jammed an elevator and was trapped inside with four friends for around 20 minutes.

Allison Eagar is a sophomore at Maple Mountain.  Her hobbies are sewing, singing, spending time with friends and family, throwing in track and field and anything crafty or artistic.  In five years she sees herself graduated from high school, attending college and working on getting a degree in Family and Consumer Science.

What makes her different from everyone else is her laugh and her diverse interests.

She would love to have a conversation with Audrey Hepburn, she would ask her how much work she put into the humanitarian needs of others because of her own experience.
