On Friday, January 21, the Maple Mountain boys basketball team battled the Spanish Fork Dons in an overtime thriller.  KJ Hall brought the Golden Eagles within striking distance with a NBA range three pointer. The Dons answered back with a free throw putting Maple Mountain down three.  In the last second, Jace Edmunds sends the game into overtime with a three point buzzer beater. The Dons eventually pulled out the 58-50 win.

Before the game began, Maple Mountain had a special introduction video showing the basketball team to set the ecstatic mood.  Even though Maple Mountain lost the basketball game, its student body had the most school spirit shown at any sporting event since the school opened nearly a year and a half ago. The “Wing Nutz” came out in full strength filling up a full student section and then some.

Maple Mountain will host Salem Hills on Friday, January 28, at 7:00 pm. Come support your Golden Eagles boys basketball team.
