Amber Elmore -- MMHS Intern 69.58 KB

Amber Elmore, a senior at Maple Mountain High School, spends time every other day interning and helping out at the East Meadow Nursing Home.

Elmore’s duties include tending to the elderly and doing housework.

When asked if she is still interested in this line of work after interning in this environment, Elmore said, “Yes, although for next term I would like to be placed somewhere else to get a feel for other careers.”

Elmore said that she had a lot of fun decorating the home with her new friend, Ruth (an elderly woman), for Halloween.

Elmore recommends this internship to any student that is interested in the nursing field.  She said, “It is a great learning experience and you get a feel for the work.”

If you’re interested in the internship program, please contact Mrs. Robyn Dunn, Work-based Learning Coordinator, Maple Mountain High, (801) 794-6740, or robyn.dunn [at] nebo.edu (robyn[dot]dunn[at]nebo[dot]edu).
