Tyson Skaggs -- MMHS Intern 59.55 KB

Tyson Skaggs, Maple Mountain High senior, is interning at Air Gyro. Skaggs has been studying about becoming a pilot by learning and studying a book called FAR-AIM. Skaggs has also helped build a plane.

A cool experience Skaggs has had while at Air Gyro is, “Crashing a simulator,” said Skaggs.

The internship program has been beneficial to Skaggs because he knows more about the airline industry.

“There’s nothing like being in the air,” said Skaggs.

Skaggs’s plan for college is to attend Utah Valley University and receive his pilot’s license then fly commercial planes.

Skaggs would recommend the internship program to other students because, “It helps you get prepared for stuff you want to do in life.”

If you’re interested in the internship program, please contact Mrs. Robyn Dunn, Work-based Learning Coordinator, Maple Mountain High, (801) 794-6740, or robyn.dunn [at] nebo.edu (robyn[dot]dunn[at]nebo[dot]edu).
