David Bates is a junior and the son of Kyle and Cia Bates.  Bates favorite subject in school is physics, because he gets to learn about the mathematical rules that govern the universe and the truly beautiful way that it all fits together. Bates said in five years he sees himself returning from an LDS mission then studying physics and math at a university. Something that makes Bates different from everyone else is that he gets super excited about everything from music to band competitions. One of Bates favorite quotes is from Albert Einstein. “Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.” Bates likes the quote because it illustrates how deeply connected religion and science are.

Sarah Neff is a senior and is the daughter of Brannon and Julie Neff.  Neff’s favorite subject in school is art because it is a place at school where she can express herself and be nice. Neff’s favorite hobbies include painting and drawing. Neff said in five years she sees herself hopefully done with college, having a job she enjoys and maybe starting a family. Something that makes Neff different from everyone else is that she tries to be the best person she can and to give out compliments to others in the hope to make them feel good about themselves. One of Neff’s favorite quotes is, “One day your life will flash before your eyes, make sure it’s worth watching.” Neff really likes this quote because it really inspires her to make the right choices she will be proud of in the future.

Kris Klauck is a senior and is the son of Mike and Julie Klauck. Klauck’s favorite subject in school is math and science because they are used in almost any career field and throughout the rest of your life.  Some of Klauck favorite hobbies include traveling, skiing, CAD drafting, soccer and business management. Klauck said in five years he sees himself as a BYU college graduate with a bachelor degree in construction management and a MBA. Klauck will also start his career in his father’s construction company. Something that makes Klauck different from everyone is that he runs and owns a RV storage facility and also has his own CAD drafting service.  He will also complete his associate’s degree in high school.  One of Klauck favorite quotes is, “The Reason people live long is that they have dreams to follow.”  Klauck likes this quote because it represents a person’s desire to do well in life and to succeed at everything they attempt.

Emma Dallon is a junior and is the daughter of John and Laurie Dallon.  Some of Dallon’s favorite hobbies include playing the viola, reading, eating ice cream, playing card games and cooking.  In five years she hopes to see herself close to being done with college and hopefully have a job as a “mad scientist.”  Some things that Dallon says makes her different is her DNA, rationality, cynicism, sarcasm, and work ethic.  Her favorite subject is math because, “It’s logical and consistent and has nothing to do with personal opinions.”  A favorite quote of hers is, “Procrastination isn’t the problem, it’s the solution. So procrastinate now, don’t put it off.” –Ellen DeGeneres.  Dallon says she likes this quote because, “It justifies my habit of procrastination, so I like it.”

Megan Olsen is a sophomore and the daughter of R. Kay and Ruth Olsen.   A few of Olsen’s favorite hobbies are acting, singing, talking, watching movies, hanging with friends, and anything that’s fun. One thing that makes Olsen stand out is that she has a twin sister and is half Russian. Her favorite subject in school is drama because, “In that class you can be anybody or anything you want to be.” Olsen would like to meet Lucille Ball or Moses so she could ask them to tell her everything about their life. In five years she hopes to see herself coming home from a religious mission service, getting married and starring on Broadway. A favorite quote of hers is, “The secret of life is not waiting for the storm to stop; it’s learning how to dance in the rain.”

Garet Nielsen is a sophomore and the son of Rick and Karen Nielsen.  His favorite hobbies include playing PS3, riding his bike and watching ESPN. In five years he hopes to see himself home from a religious mission service and going to college. A favorite quote of Nielsen’s is, “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.” He likes this quote because, “It tells you that you have to take risks to succeed.” One thing that makes Nielsen different from everyone else is that he has diabetes. His favorite subject is math because, “There is always a correct answer, no hypothesis.” If Nielsen could have a conversation with anyone from history he would choose Muhammad Ali and would ask him how he was such a good boxer.
