Maple Mountain boys golf team has performed well this season. The toughest competition for the Golden Eagles has been Spanish Fork, Uinta, and Salem Hills. Maple Mountain players Kendrik Gibson, Luke Walker, and Payton Poulsen have been exceptional players.
Nick Langford, team captain, said, “I’m looking forward to state; I love golf because it’s competitive.”
Head Coach Johnny Averett’s goals for the team are, “To be better than what they were at the beginning of the season and have fun doing it.”
Averett also mentioned that he enjoys coaching the Golden Eagles, “The atmosphere, September weather, and being outside with the players is great.”
