MMHS held their first annual Knowledge Bowl during the week of April 12th- 16th. Many students competed for the title of the Knowledge Bowl champions. But after many rounds, only one team was victorious. The winning team included Mike McQueen, Luis Montero, Matt Hash and Ryan Parry. The final score was 75 to 15.
The team never expected to be the winning champs. When they were declared winners, they were “ecstatic.” Usually a lot of hard work goes into preparing for this type of competition, but Luis Montero admits that their team didn’t do much to prepare for the Knowledge Bowl. “ We ate lots of McDoubles,” stated Luis.
Though the team admitted there were lots of hard questions, they made it to the final round and became the first MMHS Knowledge Bowl Champions. Team member Ryan Parry quotes, “You can achieve anything with heart, determination, and me and Hash on your team.”
