Maple Mountain student Nikelle Thompson had a great experience as an intern at Springville City’s attorney and prosecutor office.

Nikelle is very interested in criminal justice because it is very important. She says, “I am interested in knowing all of my rights and helping others to understand their rights.” Her responsibilities and duties included writing summaries for police reports. She also researches laws to insure that actions are justified and to possibly convict those arrested of a higher charge.

Nikelle was asked if she was still interested in working in the legal field, she states, “Yes I am. Even though I work with the same type of cases, it still seems like a new circumstance because every situation is different.” After graduation, Nikelle plans on attending Dixie State College and majoring in the legal field.
