The inaugural game of the Maple Mountain High School Softball program was played at Provo High on March 8th. The varsity girls batted first and lead-off batter Ashley Dunsmore (23) hit a double to center to get things going. With Dunsmore still on 2nd base, Chelsey Burns (34) crushed a double to the right center field fence, scoring the first RBI in Eagles Softball history! Burns went on to score in the first inning giving the Eagles a 2 - 0 lead. Mariah Peterson pitched an exciting first game and the Eagles had some great defensive plays to win the game by 1 point.
