SKills USA Competition

On Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27, MMHS students competed in a variety of events at the SkillsUSA State Competition. The MMHS Chapter of SkillsUSA won the Quality Chapter Award by completing certain requirements throughout the year.

Congratulate these students for doing well at state!

  • Josh Jensen won first place in CPR/First Aid.
  • Michael Swanson, Chandler Schramm, and McKay Hales dominated the welding fabrication contest. They took 1st by almost 300 points and were the only team in the whole contest to finish the project. They even out-scored the 4 college teams.
  • Josh Warren got 7th in cabinet making.
  • Deionne Jones got 18th in welding individual.
  • Soren Peterson got 7th in photography.
  • Madi Powell got 9th in photography.
  • Dalton Carson got 9th in welding sculpture.
  • Kayla Summers got 8th in job interview.
  • The entrepreneurship team which consists of Carlos Urbina, Anya Nelson, Bekka Bair took 4th.
